Delores J. "Dee" Lese

BATH - Delores J. "Dee" Lese, passed away at the young age of 61 on Jan. 1, at Highland Hospital, Ro c hester, surrounded by several of her family members.

Dee was born on Sept. 14, 1946 to the late Paul Hazzard and Ann House Hazzard. She retired in 2000 from the Steuben County Law Department, after working thirty years at the County. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Dee was a member of the VFW Bath 1470 and the American Legion in Hammondsport.

Dee is predeceased by her father, Paul Hazzard, who died in Nov. 2000. Dee leaves behind so many people she will watch over.

She is survived by her three children, Stephen M. (Jamie Faulkner) LaBar, Jr., Shawn (Nancy) LaBar, and Stephanie A. Doyle; her mother Ann Hazzard; her brother Harold (Sue) Hazzard; her sisters, Pauline (Jay Tussey) McClary, and Tina (Alan Vyverberg) Cagle; dear friend James Lese; father of her beloved children , Stephen M. LaBar, Sr.; nine grandchildren, Stephen, James, Aaron , DeAnna, BreAnna, Eric, Ashley, Sarah and Zachary; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles. Dee will be greatly missed and always remembered as doing anything for anyone. She had the kindest of hearts.

Friends and family called on Monday, Jan. 7, from 1-4 p.m. at the Bond-Davis Funeral Home of Bath where her Funeral Service was held at the conclusion of calling hours at 4 p.m. with the Reverend Bruce DeBaun officiating.

Her burial was held in Nondaga Cemetery, Bath, at the convenience of the family.

A gathering was held for family and friends at the Hammondsport Legion, Route 54, Hammondsport immediately following the funeral.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stephen M. LaBar, Jr. for Dee's grandchildren's education.
