Cheryl L. Updike

BATH - Cheryl L. Updike, 51, of 7369 Fish Hatchery Rd. passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

She was born Feb. 8, 1956 in Bath the daughter of Roman and Francis Fuller Zemeic. Cheryl worked in the County Clerk's office for many years, she was a member of the Hammondsport Legion Auxillary, an avid pool player, playing on the Maloney's pool team, and an avid NASCAR fan especially for the Earnhardts.

Surviving are her sons Nathan Updike and Andy and Josh Zemeic all of Bath; sisters Kathy (Frank) Walruth of Hammondsport and Linda Cing-Mars of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother Michael Zemeic of Phelps and several nieces and nephews and many good friends.

Friends called from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, at the LaMarche Funeral Home, 35 Main Street, Hammondsport. A service of remembrance was held Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home. The family provided their own flowers, memorial donations should be made to the Fingerlakes Humane Society, 7315 State Route 54, Bath, N.Y., 14810.

After the services, everyone was invited to the Hammondsport Legion for a luncheon.
