Fagan's Funeral Home celebrates 40th anniversary of Golden Rule membership

BATH - Fagan's Funeral Home of Bath is celebrating a landmark year as a member of the International Order of the Golden Rule, a professional association of independently owned and operated funeral homes. Fagan's Funeral Home was accepted into the funeral home organization in September 1967.

As independently owned firms, Golden Rule funeral homes must adhere to basic principles that guide their practices and high ethical conduct.

"We are pleased to have the Fagan's Funeral Home as a long-time member," said Karen Gentles, OGR Director of Membership. "The people at Fagan's Funeral Home have proven for 40 years that they are caring, compassionate professionals. As a member of the Order of the Golden Rule, the funeral home owners and staff have dedicated themselves to continuing this tradition of caring in their community."

"It has been our privilege to maintain ties to OGR for so many years," said Neil Fagan. "Being a Golden Rule firm has helped us to better serve our families in Bath, to offer them peace of mind and integrity they can count on. That is absolutely key to maintaining good relations with our clients in this sensitive business."

Headquartered in St. Louis, the International Order of the Golden Rule (OGR) is one of the world's largest professional associations of independent funeral homes, whose members are dedicated to offering dependable, dignified and caring service to families.
