The Reverend Robert W. Rook

Robert W. Rook, 72, went home to be with His Lord on Sunday, Jan. 6, at Geneva General Hospital after an extended illness.

Family receiveD friends on Tuesday, Jan. 8, from 6-8 p.m. and a memorial service was held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9. Both was helde at New Life Assembly of God, 7698 Rt. 31, Lyons.

Robert was born on Oct. 4, 1935 in Bath. The son of the late John G. and Lena Rook. Robert served his country in both the Air Force and the Coast Guard and retired after 22 years. Robert went on to become a pastor in the Assemblies of God, ministering in Martville for 3 years; Ogdensburg for 5 years; Seneca falls for 13 years, and was assistant pastor in Lyons for several years.

Robert is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Marguerite Rook, of Seneca Falls; two sons Kurtis (Pamela) Rook of Canton and Charles (Julie) Rook of Lenoir, North Carolina; two daughters Brenda (Erice) Hole of Myerstown, Pennsylavia and Roberta Fordon of Seneca Falls; one brother Philip (Dorothy) Rook of Bath; one sister Doris (William) Kashorek of Bath; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Robert is predeceased by his other siblings Stanley Beamish, Johnetta Meacham, Emma Wolfanger, Charles Rook, Leonard Rook, Bettie Clark, and Leon Rook.
