Forgery

Bath village police last week charged Mary Jo Wills, 44, of Steuben Street, Bath, with seconddegree forgery, for allegedly altering a medical prescription. Mills was arraigned in Bath village court and is to reappear in court at a later date.

Assault

Village police last week charged Michael D. Thomas, 29, of 6591 County Route 18, Savona with third-degree assault.

Thomas allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, causing minor injuries to her head and face. He was arraigned in village court and released to a family member. He is to reappear in court at a later date for further court action.

Criminal contempt

Bath village police last week charged David L. Strassburg, 21, of 221 Manor Village Apartments, Bath with second-degree criminal contempt after a complaint

was filed by his former girlfriend. Strassburg

allegedly contacted her in violation of a court order of protection. He was arraigned in village court and is to reappear in court at a later date.

DWI

Steuben County Sheriff's deputies last week charged David L. Carson, 52, of Bath, with felonious driving while intoxicated after stopping his vehicle on East Steuben Street in the Village of Bath.

Carson had been convicted of drunk driving in November 2007. Sheriff's deputies also charged him with operating a vehicle with a blood-alcohol lever greater than .08 percent. He is to appear at a later date in village court to answer the charge.
