BEGWS honored

BATH - The New York Rural Water Association recently honored Bath Electric Gas and Water Systems with its Wastewater System of Year Award.

Bath village officials congratulated BEGWS Utilities Director Matthew Benesh last week after Mayor David Wallace announced the award at the monthly village board meeting.

"It's a nice honor, and it means quite a bit to us," Benesh said.

The NYRWA represents small water andwastewater systems in the state. Members include villages, towns, municipal water and sewer districts, county authorities and state and federal facilities.
