Three cheers for new Urbana town board

It is with great pleasure I am writing this letter. People of the Town of Urbana, I just want to tell you if you missed our last town board meeting, you missed history in the making. The meeting was awesome to say the least. It was the first for our newly elected representatives and they did exactly what we asked for, for years, they listened and they treated people that attended with respect. They answered questions in detail and they actually discussed spendings, town matters, etc., right in front of us taxpayers. It looks like we finally are getting an open government like we have asked for for so long. The minutes will be in the Courier monthly in full for all to see, as they promised.

These people are giving part of their lives to work for a better Urbana for all of us, so please make time to come to a meeting to show our support and most of all, say thanks to these dedicated people. It will also give you a good feeling and a sense of pride to be part of your own government.
