'They were voted out for a reason'

I'm writing in response to the Moretti letter, which is a joke. If the previous town supervisor and councilman in the Town of Urbana did such a great job, why were they voted out by such a huge landslide? As far as the things they accomplished, was it for the better for taxpayers or themselves? Look at our new town hall. It cost us over a million dollars and it isn't even complete yet. You can't drink the water, the landscaping needs to be completed, blacktop the driveway, a building for maintenance tools, a building for records to be stored, there isn't even enough room for us to vote there or to store the voting machines so we'll have to vote at the library in Hammondsport. It sounds to me they really put a lot of planning into the town hall. Not only that, but they didn't even put aside any money for all the extras needed for this. Sounds to me that the previous town board was in a big rush to get in and didn't do any planning at all. And we should admire the for it? They were voted out for a reason, and I think that sooner or later, we will see why they were voted out. I think that now that we have a new town supervisor, two new council members, and a new town clerk who care about us and care about the town, we will see great changes in the Town of Urbana for the better. As a matter of fact, I think we're already seeing it.
