The blotter Bad check Bath village police last week charged Linda M. Lurock, 30, of Smith Road, Cameron Mills, with issuing a bad check. She was issued an appearance ticket for a later date in village court. DWI Village police last week charged Kevin J. Murphy, 49, of 9057 South Valley Road, Hammondsport, with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood-alcohol level greater than .08 percent and unsafe lane change. The charges were filed after Murphy crashed into a parked car on East Steuben Street in Bath and overturned his own vehicle. No injuries were reported. Open container Brandy J. Gould, 27, of 201 E. Steuben St., Bath last week was charged with an open container violation. She is to appear at a later date in village court. DWI Village police last week charged Jeffrey S. Lewis, 45, of 8487 county Route 13, Bath, with felonious driving while intoxicated, felonious driving with a blood-alcohol level greater than .08 percent, speeding, and felonious aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Lewis was arraigned in village court and is to reappear in village court at a later date. Sexual abuse Bath-based state police last week arrested Jamerson Abeel, 28, of Lot 13, Old Field Trailer Court, Bath with firstdegree sexual abuse, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana. Abeel allegedly had sexual contact with two children under the age of 11 at a residence in the Town of Bath. He was committed to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of bail. |
