The blotter Grand larceny A Steuben County grand jury last week indicted Tracy Hoad, 30, of 18 Club View Drive, Bath, on charges of fourth-degree grand larceny and multiple counts of falsifying business records in the first degree. Hoad allegedly stole more than $2,000 between August and December of 2005 by improperly receiving unemployment benefits. She is to appear in county court at a later date. Fugitive State police in Bath last week arrested Brian K. Nogiewich, 49, of 57 Shether St., Hammondsport as a fugitive from justice. The Camden County prosecutor's office, in New Jersey, reportedly asked Hammondsport police and state police for assistance in locating Nogiewich, who was wanted on outstanding arrest warrants in New Jersey for larceny and theft by deception. Nogiewich was remanded to the Steuben County Jail pending his extradition to New Jersey. Sex registry law Bath village police last week charged Thomas R. Buckley, 42, of 9 Howell St., Bath, with violation of the sex registry law. He was arraigned in Bath village court and is to reappear i n village court at a later date. |
