Wedding announcement

Jodi O'Harah, originally of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania and Franklin Machuga, of Bradford, were married at 1 p.m. August 14, 2007 at Saint Michael's Parish, in Penn Yan. The bride was given in marriage by her father Garry and stepfather Tom, both of Pennsylvania. The Rev. Robert Ring officiated at the ceremony.

Jodi is the daughter of Susan Young and her husband Tom, o f Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania and Garry O'Harah and his wife, Carolyn, of Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania. She is a 1990 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School. She received a Bachelor's of Science in 1994 and a Master's of Science in 1996 from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in Speech Pathology. She is now employed at the Corning- Painted Post Area School District as a Speech- Language Pathologist.

Franklin is the son of Frank and Ann Machuga of Bradford. He is a 1985 graduate of Bradford Central School. He is now self-employed as a local dairy farmer.

The bride's gown was fashioned with a beaded bodice, an asymmetrical waistline and a Europeanstyle bustle. Hand-made by her mother, the veil was a two-tiered, Chapel length, with satin trim. She was adorned with her great-grandmother's necklace worn by both her grandmother and mother during their wedding ceremonies. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of fresh roses and hydrangeas.

A reception was held at The Esperanza Mansion, Bluff Point. The couple took a wedding trip to Toronto, Ont. and the White Mountain Area of New Hampshire.
