Bath outscores Dansville 46-44

THE LEADER

DANSVILLE - Bath Haverling outscored Dansville 16-10 in the fourth quarter to come back and edge out the Mustangs 46-44 Friday, Jan. 25.

The Rams were led by Amber Price's 11 points and six rebounds. Teammates Nikki Murat and Rachel Oest each netted eight points for Bath.

"This was a very exciting game from the start," stated Bath Haverling head coach Randy Abrams. "It was a

great team effort. Everyone contributed something."

Dansville's Jamie Wolfe led all scorers with 20 points, as Margaret Infantino added 11.

C-bell girls basketball team overcomes A-A 37-19

THE LEADER

CAMPBELL - Campbell- Savona overcame its shooting woes with a strong second half in its 37-19 win over Alfred-Almond Friday, Jan. 25.

The Panthers (9-8, 7-3) hit 5-of-25 shots in the first half as they took a 12-9 lead into the break. They then hit 10- of-20 shots from the floor to pull away in the second half.

"We executed everything well, we just couldn't put the ball in the hole," Campbell- Savona head coach Jeff Allen said of his team's first-half shooting.

Kaitlin Smith led the Panthers with 14 points, while Corinne Wright added nine.

Alfred-Almond was led by 11 points from Heather Varriak.

Hammpondsport downs Avoca 46-39

THE LEADER

HAMMONDSPORT - Hammondsport was able to overcome a two-point halftime deficit with a strong third quarter to down Avoca 46-39 Friday, Jan. 25.

After scoring 15 points in the first half, Hammondsport netted 14 in the third behind Jenna Presley's game-high 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Teammates Kalyn Fries and Kelsey Spinks each added six points apiece for the Lakers.

Avoca was led by Brittany Geffers and Alli robards, who dropped 13 points each for the Tigers.

Bath wrestling team defeats Honeoye Falls

THE LEADER

BATH - The Rams won every match except one on their way to a 76-6 win over Honeoye Falls-Lima Friday, Jan. 25.

Junior Billy Crowe led Bath Haverling at 130 pounds with his 100 career win. Crowed pinned HFL's Bryan Lampson in 1:05 to hit the century mark.

Brian Hojnoski (96), Kyle Conrad (104), Jacob Harrison (125), Ed Jackson (140), Sean Daley (145), Nick Uram (160) and Cody Hutcheson (189) all won via pinfalls for the Rams, while Mitchell Buckley (112), Nate Uram (152) and Jake Hann (171) all won by decisions.

THE LEADER

RUSHVILLE - Bath Haverling got two free throws each from Brett Sutryk and Tyree McCloud in the final 10 seconds to push the Rams to a 47-44 win over Midlakes Saturday, Jan. 26.

Sutryk also netted a trio of 3-point baskets in the game to lead the Rams with 12 points.

Bath got off to a slow start and trailed Midlakes 12-3 at the end of the first quarter, but rallied in the second to grab a 22-15 lead at halftime.

Sean Lyke and Andre McCloud finished with nine points apiece.

Fuller nets career-high 29

THE LEADER STAFF

PRATTSBURGH - Wade Fuller put up numbers approaching a quadrupledouble Friday, Jan. 25, to lead the Prattsburgh boys basketball team to a 61-42 shellacking of Canaseraga, which helped the Vikings clinch the top seed in the upcoming Steuben County tournament.

Fuller netted a career-high

29 points, came up with 10 steals, dished out eight assists and pulled down six rebounds to pace the Vikings.

Garrett Parker scored 10 points, while Marshell Stanley led Prattsburgh with six rebounds.

Rams slip by Dansville 53-50

THE LEADER

BATH - The Rams needed all seven of their made threepointers to slip past Dansville 53-50 Friday, Jan. 25.

Mike Rossi led Bath Haverling (4-10) with four treys as part of his 14 points, while Brett Sutryk's 16 points included three from beyond the arc. Andre McCloud also netted 16 points for the Rams, as the big three of Rossi, Sutryk and McCloud accounted for 46 of Bath's 53 points.

Justin Lathrop netted 14 points to lead Dansville (9-5), while Jordan VanDunk

chipped in 11.

H-port downs Avoca 57-42

THE LEADER

HAMMONDSPORT - Jake Clarkson netted 13 points and pulled down 15 rebounds as Hammondsport downed Avoca 57-42 Saturday, Jan. 26.

Clarkson also blocked four shots to help the Lakers' cause, while Brandon Bulley scored 11 points and Derek Baroody added 10 more.

Avoca was led by 16 points from Joe Wallace.

Prattsburgh gains 41-28 SCAA victory

THE LEADER

PRATTSBURGH - Brittany Wheeler scored a game-high 26 points to lead Prattsburgh to a 41-28 SCAA victory Tuesday, Jan. 29.

Lindsay Parker and Claire Campbell chipped in with six points apiece, while Megan Wright pulled down nine rebounds.

Maggie Benedict led the Lakers with Eight points.

Rams wrestling team defeats Livonia 56-12

THE LEADER

BATH - The Rams generated points in 11 matches on their way to a 56-12 win over Livonia Tuesday, Jan. 29.

Bath got pinfall victories from Brian Hojnoski (96), Jacob Harrison (125), Sean Daley (140), Cody Hutcheson (171) and Zack Perkins (215).

Seniors honored at final dual swim meet

THE LEADER

BATH - In their final dual meet of the season, also Bath Haverling's senior meet, the Rams finished the regular season strong with a 114-66 victory over Canisteo-Greenwood Monday, Jan. 28.

Seniors Brandon Graham, Elliot Glaccum and Mike Joint were honored before the meet and all three seniors tasted success in their home pool.Graham won the 100 breaststroke in 1:27.12, while Glaccum triumphed in the 500 freestyle with a finish of 5:54.01 and placed second in the 200 freestyle. Joint earned a pair of second place finishes in the 200 IM and the 100 freestyle.

"We honored them (the seniors) in the beginning and talked about their future plans," said Bath Haverling coach Mike Morris. "It's kind of a bittersweet situation for them, but they will be able to swim here again at the county meet and sectionals."

Also for Bath (11-6-1), Robbie Lindmark, Brian Vonderlin, Dan Robinson and Seth Skelly won the 200 medley relay in 1:56.95. Lindmark also won the 100 backstroke (1:08.53), Robinson took the100 butterfly (1:01.68) and Skelly was a member of the winning 200 freestyle relay team with Sam Robbins, Justin Sherwood and Steve Stromsness that finished in 1:53.70. Luke Ferree won Bath's seventh event with a 2:01.59 finish in the 200 freestyle.

Brandon Larnard led Canisteo-Greenwood with individual wins in the 50 freestyle (25.84) and the 100 freestyle (57.95), while also winning the 400 freestyle relay with teammates Casey Brown, Derek Brown and Mariah Perry in 4:45.01. Casey Brown also added a win in diving (213.50), as Derek Brown won the 200

IM in 2:29.56.

Vikings finish perfect SCAA season

THE LEADER HAMMONDSPORT Prattsburgh's boys basketball team stayed perfect in the SCAA Wednesday, Jan. 30, night with a 62-50 road win over Hammondsport.

Doug Lewis paced Prattsburgh (15-1, 10-0) with 22 points, while Wade Fuller filled

the stat sheet with 17 points, nine assists and four steals. Marshell Stanley chipped in with eight points for the Vikings.

Jake Clarkson paced Hammondsport (5-12, 4-6) with 21 points, including three from beyond the arc and a perfect 6- for-6 for the free throw line. Ricci Wendlandt and Ryan House netted nine points apiece for the Lakers.

Avoca gains win over Bradford

THE LEADER

BRADFORD - With the game tied late in the third quarter, Avoca made a fourth quarter charge to down Bradford 52-46 Wednesday, Jan. 30.

Brian Kidder led Avoca with a game-high 21 points, while Joe Wallace netted 17 for the Tigers. Greg Watson chipped in with eight points for Avoca. Ben Larrison recorded double-double to lead Bradford, dropping 10 points and grabbing 16 rebounds. Mitchell Kelly helped out with eight points and eight boards, while Steve Ellison and Pat Miller added seven points each.
