Betty L. Button

BATH - Betty L. Button, 70, of Bath, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, in the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, Pennsylvania.

Betty was born in Big Flats, the daughter of Howard L. and Bertha A. Brought Archer. Betty attended Big Flats and Corning area schools. She was married to Donald L. Button who predeceased her in 1998. Betty enjoyed playing bingo, quick draw, traveling and camping. She loved Florida, spending time at Lamoka Lake and spending time with family and friends. Betty was employed as a bus driver or the Corning Painted Post school district, where she retired.

Betty is survived by two daughters, Donna J. Button of Elmira and Annette (Robert Sr.) Buckley of Savona; one son, Stanley (Anne) Button of Corning; one grand-daughter, Meghan Button of Corning; many step-grandchildren; brothers, William (Shirley) Archer, Carl (Lois) Archer and Richard Archer; sister, Jane (Rexford) Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband Donald L. and sister Jean Palmer and Abraham (Katherine) Button, father and motherin law.

Calling hours for Betty were held at Carpenters Funeral Home, LLC, 14 E. Pulteney St., Corning on Saturday, Feb. 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A Funeral service and commital were held immediately after calling hours at 1 p.m. A private burial will be at Rural Home Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
