Zada M. Perry HAMMONDSPORT - Zada M. Perry, 74, formerly of Hammondsport, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, at the Taylor Health Center. She was born Feb. 1, 1934 in N. Hornell, the daughter of Orlo and Hazel Hammond Jones. Her husband, Sterling R. Perry passed away Aug. 6, 1994. Zada was a graduate of Arkport School, former member of the Hammondsport Legion Auxiliary and had worked in the high school cafeteria in Hammondsport for 17 years. Surviving are her son William (JoAnn) Perry of Lubbock, Texas; daughters, Melody (Martin) Gillette of Groton, Connecticut, Darlene (Richard) Armstrong of Bradford and Dawn (Ernest) Parker of Corning; brothers, Hugh (Betty) Jones, Sr. of Avoca and Homer (Alice) Jones of Dansville; sister, Hildreth(James) Hammond of Corry, Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family called on Thursday, Feb. 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the LaMarche Funeral Home of Hammondsport. Funeral and Committal services were held at the conclusion of calling hours at 1 p.m. The Rev. Howard Armstrong officiated and interment was held in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. |
