Engagement announcement

Jeff and Nancy Walters of Bath announce the engagement of their daughter Vanessa to Jeffrey Bates son of Steve and Patsy Bates of Bath.

Vanessa is a 2005 graduate of Bath Haverling. She has completed two years at Corning Community College majoring in Accounting. Vanessa is a member of the US Army National Guard 222nd MP company. She is now employed by the Steuben County Sheriff's Office Court Security and Pizza Hut of Bath.

Jeff is a 2005 graduate of Bath Haverling. He is a member of the US Army 4/1 CAV, just completing a 15 month tour in Iraq. H e is stationed at Ft. Bliss, El Paso Texas.

An April 5, 2008 wedding is planned.
