The Keuka Lake players held their annual meeting on February 16th at the Hammondsport American Legion Post. President of the Board of Trustees - Kim Jacobs - described a very successful 2007 to the 50 KLP members in attendance. This was a very pivotal year because the community theater group based in Hammondsport had essentially reinvented and reenergized itself. The membership swelled to over 100 new members and a number of new initiatives had been instituted to streamline the overall business aspects of putting on a major production.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of an honorary permanent Board membership to John T. Rogerson. Rogerson is a charter member of Keuka Lake Players and was very instrumental in the actual forming of the group 21 years ago. He has served three terms on the board of trustees through the years and contributed countless hours as an actor, director, and mentor throughout the years.
The evening was capped off with a 30-minute live musical tribute to love and relationships using the songs of Frank Sinatra.
