The Blotter

Accident

Steuben County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a one-car accident that occurred Feb. 18 in the Town of Avoca and sent two children to Strong Memorial Hospital with injuries.

According to deputies, Guy Barber Jr., 35, of Howard, was traveling on Waterbury Road when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. He was treated at the scene by an Avoca ambulance crew and released. Two female passengers, age 14 and 11, were transported to Strong Hospital, where they were treated and released.

The Wallace fire department assisted at the scene. Deputies say their investigation is to continue.

Grand larceny

Anthony Ronchi, 27, of 234 Bluhm Road, Fairport, was indicted earlier this month by a Steuben County grand jury on charges of third-degree grand larceny and firstdegree scheming to defraud.

Ronchi allegedly stole property in the Village of Bath in September 2005 and August 2007 having a value in excess of $3,000. He also allegedly defrauded multiple individuals, according to the Steuben County District Attorney's office.

DWI

Sheriff's deputies last week charged Jamie M. Dolan, 23, of Stapleton Road, Campbell, with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood-alcohol level over .08 percent and failure to reduce speed.

Dolan is to appear in Addison court at a later date.
