Robert A. Putzig

PRATTSBURGH - Robert A. Putzig, age 73, of Prattsburgh passed away Feb. 26 at his home on Rosy Hill with his loving family at his side.

He was born March 23, 1934 in Rochester to Harold and Annabelle Trenton Putzig.

Bob lived most of his life in Rochester and 20 years on Lake Ontario, graduating from John Marshall High School. He went to work for Eastman Kodak in 1951 as an elevator boy and worked his way up to Construction Department Head, retiring in 1986 after 35 years. He had 22 great years of retirement doing the things he loved. Bob moved to Bath living on Hickory Hill and then moved to Rosy Hill in Prattsburgh ten years ago. He loved to build furniture and collect antiques and always had a wood working shop wherever he lived. He loved his home on Rosy Hill and time spent on Keuka Lake. Bob lived life to the fullest enjoying his family and many friends, boats, cars and his favorite Dog Maxline Annabelle. He was a member of the Charles E. Wescott American Legion Post 173 in Bath. He was a Navy Veteran and served on the Battleship Wisconsin in 1956-1957. He was very proud of his Navy Days and stayed close friends with the men from Rochester, who served with him. He felt every man should serve his country.

Bob is survived by his wife, Rosemary Towner Putzig; his children, Cheryl

Jim) Kelly of Chicago, Illinois and Susan (Bill) Mulligan of Rochester; six grandchildren, Lauren, Rachel, Brian, Connor, Billy and Mike; the mother of his children Mary C. Putzig of Rochester and a very large extended family.

Friends called on Friday, Feb. 29, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-

p.m. at Fagan's Funeral Home, 31 West Morris St., Bath. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, March 1, at 12 p.m. at St. Patrick's church in Prattsburgh with the Reverend Robert Ring presider assisted by Deacon Ed Sergeant. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Hammondsport.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Southern Tier Hospice and Palliative Care, 11751 E. Corning Road, Corning, NY 14830.
