Who is Barack Obama?

To the Editor,

In response to an article in an area paper, regarding Obama's "patriotism," the article should answer the questions many have - who do I vote for in November?

Any person who is campaigning for the office of President of the United States and refuses to wear an American Flag lapel pin, and refuses to place his hand across his breast while saluting the stars and stripes, and refusing if elected President to place his right hand on the bible; saying only he would place his hand on the "Koran" the so-called Muslim's" Bible.

How many people in this country ever heard of Obama before this campaigning started - who is he? What has he done? What group was behind him from the start? I don't know, do you?

I remember 9/11 too well - those people we welcomed to this country, treated them well, even trained them to fly those planes that were used on 9/11. They too were devoted to the Muslim religion.

I feel Obama is an insult to our young people in uniform fighting in Iraq. Who are fighting under those stars and stripes. And what they stand for. Young people dying or injured for life physically or mentally all on the order of a President who doesn't care or know why.

I would like to see Obama visit the nursing home at the VA Medical Center in Bath without his security staff and openly tell the service connected disabled veterans that he refuses to Honor the American Flag. And while on his visit he should go up the hill and view those thousands of white markers representing those who served proudly under the stars and stripes.

We the American people have eight months to give serious thought to who we want as a true all American to serve as the leader of the United States.

As a registered Democrat, I will vote for one of two real American candidates. Hillary Clinton or John McCain-how about you?
