Accident

A 69-year-old Avoca woman was injured last week when her vehicle skidded off county Route 105, struck a tree and crashed into a small ravine.

Connie Green was transported to Ira Davenport Hospital for treatment after members of the Avoca fire department cut her from the car using the Jaws of Life.

Assisting at the scene were Avoca firefighters and ambulance volunteers, New York state police, Steuben County highway crews and members of the Wallace fire department.

No charges are to be filed.

Harrassment

Steuben County deputies last week arrested Daniel A. Hubbard, 45, of Avoca on charges of second degree harassment and resisting arrest after Hubbard allegedly struck a deputy while deputies and state police were investigating a separate incident. Hubbard also allegedly struck a second deputy while being processed in the county Public Safety Building.

Hubbard was arraigned in Bath village court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or a $4,000 property bond.

Criminal mischief

Deputies last week charged Andrew J. Templin, 48 of Turnpike Road, Bath with thirddegree criminal mischief. He was arraigned in Bath village court and released on his own recognizance, to reappear in court at a later date.
