Landfill power may cut electricity bills

      BATH - Plans for the region's first garbage-generated electric plant could mean significant savings for the 5,600 members of the Steuben Rural Electric Cooperative. SREC General Manager Richard Moyle said customers could save $60 per year, or the equivalent of one month's expenses.

      CAMPBELL - Several head of livestock were killed during an early Thursday, March 13, morning barn fire off of County Route 125. The blaze broke out at about 6:25 a.m. at the Gauss Riverside Farm, Campbell firefighters report. The fire was reported by David Gauss, the property owner.
