Odds good on facilities project

To the Editor,

This Wednesday, March 19, we vote on a Revised Facilities Improvement Project for our school. It offers us a great opportunity to complete much needed maintenance and some upgrades to benefit our student population.

Due to the state's largess, there is no tax increase to the property owners. Where else can we invest half a million dollars and receive 16.5 dollars in return? Wall Street would clamor for these odds.

As we all know, the state is very strict as to maintenance and upgrades in their/our schools. Therefore we must adhere to their rules and regulations and it is more costly to maintain a roof on the school than it costs to redo your home or an abandoned school roof.

Anyone who attended the concert last week, left the school with a great sense of pride. Around 300 students presented us with a wonderful program. Something very good is going on at Haverling. Our staff and student body are a credit to our school district.

Show them we care... vote this Wednesday from noon to six.
