Students win first at Mt. Morris tournament
BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

Congratulations goes out to the triumvirate of Madelyn Czajkowski, Bailee Smalt and Mackenzie Smith for winning the Mt. Morris 3 on 3 girls fourth grade division basketball tournament on Sunday, March 16. The three some traveled to Mt. Morris High School and dominated play while outscoring their opponents by a combines score of 27-1 in their four game tournament. A total of eight teams competed in their division and their 4-0 record earned them first place bragging rights.

Coach Pete Smalt commented afterward, "offense wins games, but defense wins championships. This is a great group of kids who have unlimited potential. Look for them to accomplish much more before their time is through."
