Eleanor M. "Ellie" Glenn PRATTSBURGH - Eleanor M. 'Ellie' Glenn, age 62, of County Road 78, Prattsburgh, died Monday, April 07, at Keuka Comfort Care Home in Penn Yan. A memorial service celebrating her life was held at the Greater Grace Church, 9054 Main St., Pulteney on Saturday, April 12, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Larry Slater. In lieu of flowers memorial memorials may be made to the Pulteney Ambulance, C/O Fire District #2, 8891 Brown Rd., Pulteney, NY 14874; The Greater Grace Church, 9054 Main St., Pulteney, NY 14874; or the Humane Society of Yates County, 1216 State Rte 14A, Penn Yan, NY 14527. Eleanor was born in Bath on Feb. 27, 1946, the daughter of William and Harriet Soles Bennitt. She had worked for 21 years at the Cummings Nature Center in Naples; where she also volunteered with maple sugaring and skiing. Ellie was a member of The Methodist Church of Pulteney and attended The Greater Grace Church in Pulteney. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in her yard and garden. Ellie is survived by her mother, Harriet Bennitt of Pulteney; brother, Alfred C. Bennitt of Chandler, Arizona; god daughter, Christine Zimmerman of Rochester; nephew, A.J. (Danielle Robbins) Bennitt of Savona; niece, Heidi Wills of Chandler, Arizona; great nieces and nephews, Corey, Daniel, Korteney, Elysia, Serina and Haley; and step children, Helen (Ron) Minn's and Henry H. Glenn III both of Alabama. In addition to her father she was predeceased by her husband, Henry Howell Glenn, Jr. on March 16, 2002 and sisterin law, Connie M. Bennitt on July 28, 2004.
