The blotter Warrant Steuben County Sheriff's deputies last week arrested Kristen A. Boden, 33, of Bath on a family court warrant out of Ontario County. Boden was transported to Naples and turned over to the Ontario county Sheriff's Department. Fraud Deputies last week charged Cory J. Counterman, 24, of 16 W. Steuben St., Apt. 201, Bath, with fifth degree welfare fraud. Counterman allegedly used a benefit card belonging to another person to receive more than $445 in food stamps and cash benefits. He was issued an appearance ticket for a later date in Bath village court. Warrant Sheriff's deputies last week arrested David R. Hively Jr., 44, of 28 N. Main St., Prattsburgh, on a Steuben County Family Court warrant. Hively was remanded to the Steuben County Jail without bail. False instrument Elizabeth J. Dieter, 38, of 109 Howell St., Bath, was arrested last week on two counts of offering a false instrument for filing and fifth degree welfare fraud. Dieter allegedly failed to report employment and income to Social Services and received food stamps which she was not entitled to. She was arraigned in Bath town court and remanded to the Steuben County Jail without bail. Bath state police last week reported the following arrests: • Krystal L. Mockler, 23, of Bath, for petit larceny. She is to appear in Bath town court at a later date. • Damion L. Travis, 33, of Bath for driving while ability impaired by drugs, unlawful possession of marijuana, aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding. He is to appear in Bath town court at a later date. • Stephen J. Buckley, 20, of Kanona, for unlawful possession of marijuana. He is to appear at a later date in Bath town court. |
