Havens places seventh
2008 Michigan High School Athletic Associaiton Wrestling Championships

Tyler Havens, a senior at Norway High School in Norway, Michigan recently placed 7th in the state at the 2008 Michigan High School Athletic Association Wrestling Championships held at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit, Michigan on March 6-8, 2008.

Wrestling in Division 4 at 215 pounds, Havens' 7th place finish earned him All- State Honors, the first time a wrestler from Norway High School has ever earned this distinction.

During the championships Havens recorded his 100th high school career victory obtaining All-American status. Havens completed his senior wrestling campaign with a 44-13 record.

Tyler is the son of Steve and Carol Havens of Norway, Michigan. Steve is a 1982 graduate of Haverling Central School. Tyler is also the grandson of local resident Lorraine Perkins of Kanona.
