Michele L. "Shelley" Snyder

LEETONIA, OHIO - Michele L. "Shelley" Snyder, 55, of Cherry Valley Road, Leetonia, Ohio died at 6:45 p.m. Sunday, April 20, in the Salem Community Hospital, Ohio following a three year illness with cancer.

She was born Aug. 27, 1952 in Bath, daughter of Sheldon Clark and Margaret Minar Burns.

Michele had lived in Leetonia, Ohio for 28 years coming from New York.

She worked as a shipping and receiving clerk for the WM Inc. in Washingtonville, Ohio for many years and was a member of the Joe Williams Post #131 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and FOE #1496 Auxiliary both of Leetonia, Ohio.

Michele is survived by her husband, Gary W. Snyder whom she married Jan. 2, 1998; two sons, Aaron Sensabaugh of Youngstown and Nathan Sensabaugh and fiancé Heather Hughes of Canal Fulton; step-daughter, Melissa (Scott) Thompson of Fort Worth, Texas; a step-son, Tim (Marilyn) Snyder of Wichita Falls, Texas; two sisters, Margaret "Elaine" (Rick) McKinney of Frostproof, Florida and Anita (John) Lass of Prattsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.

A brother, Joseph Burns preceded her in death.

A memorial service was conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia. Friends called one hour prior to the services Thursday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Hammondsport.
