Rose Wilson
Rose was born in Racine, Wisconsin; she was the daughter of Polish immigrants, John and Mary (Bekacz) Napora, they moved to Bath where she met LaVern Wilson, the love of her life. They worked together on their farm in Towlesville. Rose was a great cook, a patient mother, honest friend to her neighbors, and always giving a smile, and kindness to all. Years of blissful marriage, being a hard working helpmate, and devoted wife was an example to everyone of God's love to her family, friends, and neighbors. Rose and LaVern were members of the Pleasant Valley Menonite Church. LaVern predeceaced her in 1992. She is survived by six children, four sons, LaVern (Patsy) Wilson Jr., Dick (Dawn) Wilson, Robert (Joan) Wilson and Phillip (Debbie) Wilson all of Towlesville; two daughters, Dolores (John) Bixby, of Hornby and Mary Ann (David) McRae of Avoca; sister, Agnes Korzen, Chicago, Illinois; 22 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her husband, two brothers and a sister. Memorial contributions to Alice's Rest Comfort Home, INC., 8904 Cook Road, Avoca, NY 14809, or also to a church of one's choice. Calling hours for Rose were held at Fagan's Funeral Home, Bath on Friday, May 9, from 6-8 p.m., also Saturday, May 10, from 11-12 p.m., the Funeral service followed calling hours on Saturday at 12 p.m. Rev. Ed Crandall and Rev. Harry Barrigar officiated. Burial will be held in Fairview Cemetery, Towelsville. |
