Niemczyk dedicated to education

To the Editor,

I have known Rosalie Niemczyk for over 20 years and know that she is totally dedicated to the improvement of education. I met her when she was a Guidance

Counselor at Addison Central School hosting Career Day Conferences in which I participated for several years. She was always seeking creative ways to keep the students in school and involved. She initiated a "Teens Tutors Groups" assisted by Mrs. Erna Westwig, Guidance Department Chair and Mrs. Debbie Bates, Area Coordinator for Literacy Volunteers of American. "Teen Tutors" employed the use of high school juniors and seniors for tutoring 7th-9th graders and was a very successful program. Those are just a couple of the many educational activities she has been involved in.

I also should mention that she has been one of the leaders if the "Save the Lyon" group and, in my opinion, largely through her efforts at least a part of the Dana Lyon School has been saved.
