CAMPBELL - Campbell- Savona senior Matt Blencowe pitched a gem to help lead the Panthers to a 5-1 win over Prattsburgh Monday, May 5.

Blencowe needed just 69 pitches to get the job done. He scattered five hits and only allowed one unearned run.

"He mixed up his speeds and pitched like a senior should," said Campbell-Savona head coach Kurt York. "He pitched very intelligently, instead of just throwing the ball. It was good to see him find a rhythm."

Blencowe fanned five, while not allowing a walk.

Campbell-Savona plated two runs in the second inning, then backed it up with three more in the third.

Alex Caward led the Panthers' attack with a 3-for-4 effort that saw him drive in two runs. Zach Sutton also drove in two runs, while Justin Tombs tallied the final RBI.

Ray Adams had a hit and scored two runs for Campbell- Savona, while Matt Knowles added a hit.

Logan Wheeler led the Vikings with a 2-for-3 effort. Cody Grey took the loss on the hill.
