Wilma Elaine Cleveland Maynard CAMPBELL - Wilma Elaine Cleveland Maynard of Campbell, born March 19, 1930 to Leroy and Pansy Cleveland, passed away May 13. She left behind her loving husband of 58 years, Harold Leroy Maynard of Campbell; three daughters, Connie (Jim) Cooper of Carthage, Missouri, Karen (Richard/ Lynn) Scott of Columbia, South Carolina and Sharon (Bruce) Harrington of Campbell; ten grandchildren, Elaine (Cameron) McDonald of Wilmington, Delaware, Regan (David) Fiske of Clarksville, Tennessee, Carolyn Cooper (predeceased in death), Samantha (Chris Griffin) Macy of Carthage, Missouri, James (Jeanette) Cooper of Carl Jun ction, Missouri, Victoria (Mathew) Murray of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Wade and Shannon Harrington of Campbell, Sarah and Harold Cooper of Carthage, Missouri; six great-grandchildren, Katie, Macy, Chris and Joshua Griffith, Alana and Ethan Fiske, Ainsley McDonald. Wilma leaves behind one sister, Pauline (Ed) Whiting of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by four sisters, Fay and Rosamond Cleveland, Barbara Raymond and Jean Button. Wilma was employed for 20 years as a legal secretary for Corning Glass Works, retiring in 1978. Wilma loved watching her birds, especially her finches and hummin gbirds that she kept well fed, along with her plants. Wilma was involved in showing Simmentals at the NY State Fair with her family for many years and was involved in the Beef Cattleman's Assoc. and the NY Cattlewomen. She continued to remain involved through watching her grandchildren's show. Her greatest joy in life were her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. A Memorial service was held at the Campbell United Methodist Church in Campbell on Saturday, May 17. Calling hours were held from 4:30-6 p.m., with a Memorial service held immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Campbell United Methodist Church of Campbell. Arrangements are being handled by Bond-Davis Funeral Home of Bath. |
