H-port school announces National Honor Society new members

On May 1, 2008, seventeen new members were inducted into the Hammondsport Chapter of the National Honor Society before an audience of parents, faculty, and the student body. A traditional ceremony was held which included student speeches, lighting of the four candles symbolizing character, scholarship, leadership, and service, and tapping of new inductees.

Mrs. Lucy Rocchi, High School Guidance Secretary, and Ms. Deborah Bowers, High School Principal's Secretary, were inducted as honorary members.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the high school library.
