Betty B. Evans

DERRY, NEW HAMPSHIRE/HAMMONDSPOR T - Betty B. Evans, 86, of Derry, New Hampshire formerly of Hammondsport, passed away May 14 in Pleasant Valley Nursing Home.

Betty was born Sept. 2, 1921 in Rochester. She is the daughter of Maxwell Bostwick and Iva Fake.

She worked as a nurse at Yates County Public Health. She was a member of Rehoboth Garden Club, Keuka Yacht Club and the Curtiss Museum.

Survivors include her son, William W. (Joan) Evans of Rehoboth, Massachusetts; daughter, Mrs. (Mark) Susan Evans of Hampstead, New Hampshire; and four grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Monroe in 2003.

There will be no calling hours. A funeral service was at 1 p.m. Friday, May 23 at Bitley Cemetery, Branchport with Father Coon. Burial will be in Bitley Cemetery in Branchport.

Memorials may be given to Bitley Cemetery or the Curtiss Museum.
