Bath Church welcomes new pastor

The Rev. and Mrs. Ross
BATH - Freedom Full Gospel Assembly of God, located at 200 E. Steuben St. in Bath, recently announced the appointment of Reverend Wendell Ross as pastor of the church. Pastor Ross and his wife have 33 years of experience, having served churches in Kentucky, Indiana, New Jersey and New York.

The Rev. Ross is ordained with the Assemblies of God and his wife, Marilyn, is licensed with the same organization. She is the former Marilyn White of Bath. They met and married while in college in Missouri. The Rev. Ross has a BA degree in Bible and an MA in Biblical Literature. Marilyn has a BA degree in Religious Education.

He has served at the local level as an officer in various ministerial associations as well as in sectional and state level positions in numerous capacities. Mrs. Ross has served as a conference speaker at local and state levels, served as coordinator for girls ministries at district level, and has written three books and various articles for several worldwide publications. The Rossess have taught in public and private school settings and the Rev. Ross has also taught at college and university level. They are both certified counselors with the American Association of Christian Counselors.

The Rosses have two grown children and four grandchildren. Mrs. Ross is looking forward to moving back to her hometown of Bath. They are both excited at the prospect of seeing God change lives, one at a time..

Until the Rosses complete their move from Pennsylvania to Bath the service times are Sunday School at 9:30 and Worship service at 10:30. A Wednesday service will be added later this summer. They also have plans for needs-oriented small groups.

The Rev. Ross invites the public to come to the Worship service where he will be speaking on the following subjects from a Biblical perspective: June 8-Defusing Anger; and June 15-Coping with Depression.
