Steuben County Historical Society to sponsor photo/essay contest

BATH - Steuben County Historical Society is sponsoring a photo/essay contest to develop interest in local historic buildings.

Nine water color paintings of local historic buildings by artist Jerry Wright will be on display at the Magee House July 12 to Aug 9. The contest will involve locating the buildings in the paintings, taking a photo of the building and writing about at least five of the buildings.

All entries must be hand delivered to the Magee House. Awards will be based on the fulfillment of the contest guidelines and photograph quality. Three first place awards categories are: Grades 6th-9th ($50), grades 10th-12th ($50) and Adult ($50). Two honorable mentions in each category will receive gift certificates.
