Ilys F. Carson Sperling

BATH - Ilys F. Carson Sperling went to be with her Lord Saturday, May 24, at the age of 92.

Ilys was born August 10, 1915 on Long Island, to William Fritz and Alma Ruland.

She is predeceased by husbands Robert E. Carson in 1959 and Charles R. Sperling in 1983, son Robert Arthur Carson in 1995 and sister, Audrey Miller.

Ilys is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Ilys and Carl J. Walker of Bath, Kathy A. and Arthur Ciccolo of Ridgefield, Connecticut, son and daughter-in-law, Wayne C. and Susan Carson of Murriels In let , South Carolina and daughter-inlaw Charlotte Carson of Brooksville, Florida.

Ilys is also survived by grandchildren, Carl J. Walker Jr. of Montour Falls, Kathy J. Walker of Hopewell, New Jersey, Susan E. Walker of Bath, Robin Ilys Graham of Bath, Sheila Kazmier of Florida and Peter Ciccolo of California, as well as 11 great grandchildren, three great-great grandch ildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ilys has been a longtime resident of Bath, attending the Bethel Assembly of God Church and volunteering at the Ira Davenport Hospital. Ilys enjoyed painting and crocheting activities for many years.

Ilys had a great faith in God and a love for her family and friends who have been greatly blessed to have her these 92 years.

Calling hours were at Bond-Davis Funeral Home, 107 East Steuben Street, Bath, on Wednesday, May 28, between the hours of 5- 7 p.m. immediately followed by a funeral service. The service was officiated by Pastor Craig Buckley of Bethel Assembly of God Church. Burial will be at the Nondaga Cemetery, Rumsey St., Bath.
