Dundee man dies at crash site
GATEHOUSE MEDIA

TORREY - A 20-yearold Dundee man was killed Wednesday morning when his sports utility vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer on state Route 14.

Michael R. Denmark was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries he sustained when his small SUV struck the trailer nearly head-on shortly before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday on Route 14, approximately three miles south of Dresden.

Denmark was traveling south bound when he drifted into the north bound lane and struck the tractor-trailer, Yates County Sheriff's deputies said.

Floyd R. Schroeder Jr., 36, of Pavilion, the driver of the tractor-trailer, was not injured.

The accident shut down Route 14 between Leach Road and Randall Road for approximately six hours while police investigated the accident. No charges have been filed.

The state Department of Environmental Conservation was called to the scene because of a small fuel leak caused by the crash.
