HAMMONDSPORT HAPPENINGS

.• United States Representative John R. "Randy" Kuhl of Hammondsport gave the keynote address at Keuka College's 100th graduation. He quoted from John F. Kennedy's Inaugural Address, the now famous words, "ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country." Kuhl feels that those seventeen words "changed the course of America's history when you realize that this challenge sent a man to the moon, pressed the cause of civil rights, and helped make America a prosperous nation." Kuhl challenged the Keuka graduates by saying, "My challenge to you, Seniors of 2008, is to think about the words very seriously and ponder about how you can do this" - what you can do for your country.
