Rams win 1st home sec. game

BATH - Bath Haverling hosted and won its first sectional lacrosse game in six years by downing Waterloo 11-8 Friday, May 30. Dave Harris had the hot hand, netting five goals, while teammates Zach Reed and Mckenzie Durham added three goals apiece.

"I was nervous until there was less than two minutes to go, then they scored and I went back to being nervous," said Bath head coach Ken DiDomineck. "It was a back-and-forth game."

Bath was able to gain an 8-5 halftime advantage with a five-goal second quarter. Harris scored three times, with one apiece from Reed and Durham.

Meanwhile, Chris Wolfer and the Rams' defense, led by Chris Harrison and Andy Dickenson were keeping Waterloo from taking the momentum.

"Chris was making great saves, he was just on fire," DiDomineck said. "It was just clutch playing."

Wolfer finished with 14 saves.

It was the first sectional win for the thirdseeded Rams, who upped their record to 10-8 on the season.

"It was a great feeling getting the school's second sectional victory, ever," DiDomineck said. "We didn't want to leave the field."
