Alcohol possession

Steuben County Sheriff's deputies last week charged Zachary D. Hulett, 19, of Canisteo and Josh W. Krisher, 18, of Avoca with unlawful possession of alcohol. The charges stem from a vehicle stop in the village of Canisteo. Hulett was also charged with failure to stop at a stop sign. Both are scheduled to appear in Canisteo village court at a later date.

Criminal contempt

State police in Bath last week arrested Timothy J. Hoose III, 20, of Pratt Street, Prattsburgh on a charge of second degree criminal contempt. Hoose was arrested after he was discovered at a Prattsburgh town residence allegedly in violation of an order of protection. Hoose was arraigned in Prattsburgh town court and remanded to the Steuben County jail in lieu of bail.
