80th birthday celebration

Mrs. Alic Wittig of Bath, was honored Saturday, May 31 for her 80th birthday.

A luncheon for friends, neighbors and family members was served from 2-4 p.m., followed by a cakedecorated with photosand ice cream.

Her daughter, Teri White of Corning and her niece Peg Linn of Milton, Pennsylvania prepared the food for the event.

Decorations consisted of purple, pink and yellow balloons, floral bouquets, pink basket with silverware wrapped in purple napkins tie with a pink ribbon and a name tag with her photo, date of birth and etc.

A white decorated basket with ribbons also served for cards from well wishers.

The front patio was decorated with tables, flowers and a large "Happy Birthday" banner.

Her son, Darryl Aberlin and his family traveled from North Carolina to lend a hand; also friends, Bill and Cis Brown and Bill and Peg Linn from Milton, Pennsylvania. About 48 people attended the party.

Alice has four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Alice is married to Ted Wittig.
