Gloria A. Banach

DUNDEE/CORNING - Gloria A. Banach, 86, of Dundee, died Sunday, June 22, in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born in Corning, April 4, 1922, the daughter of William A. and Mary D. (Maroney) Burger. Gloria was a graduate of Corning Free Academy and worked for Corning Glass Works prior to raising her family. She was active in the Hammondsport community and especially related to her children's' interests and her church. She was a faithful member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church and volunteered her time in several areas including both Girl and Boy Scouts, Cinderella Softball, and Little League Baseball.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann (Gary) Laskowski of Randolph, New Jersey; two sons, Michael (Bunny) Banach of Anthem, Arizona and Joseph (Elaine) Banach of Painted Post; her brother, Joseph (Della) Burger of Big Flats; five grandchildren, Courtney, Charles, Samuel, Katie and Timothy Banach; and many nieces and nephews. Her loving husband of over 50 years, Tadeus "Ted" Banach predeceased her last year.

Friends called on Friday, June 27, from 3:30- 6:30 p.m. at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, June 28, at 10 a.m. at St Mary's Church in Corning. Burial will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Bath.
