Apenowich tourney raises $8,500

The Apenowich Family would like to express its appreciation for all the local support that the Billy Apenowich Memorial Kick Cancer Kickball Tournament has received over the last five years. Without your generosity and commitment, this event would not be possible. You can take great pride that you are "Making a Big Difference in Little Lives."

We loved being able to share "Billy's Wish" with all of you. There are too many of you to name, but we would to offer a special appreciation to the National Honor Society members from Corning East and West, Hammondsport and Bath Haverling schools who volunteered at this year's tournament. A special appreciation and a big hug to this and past year's committee members.

Despite the sweltering heat, we had many participants who played hard and had fun. We raised over $8,500 that we got to present to The Ivan & Sam Foundation in Nashville. We are very excited that all this support has allowed Ivan & Sam to come to life. We're already planning for the 2009 tournament.

We know in our hearts that Billy is smiling down on each and every one of you. We have been blessed to live in an extended community such as Steuben County. All our appreciation, and see you next year!
