Peaceweavers to host open house July 13

The PeaceWeavers will host an Open House at their Thunder Mountain Retreat Sanctuary and Wellness Center at 8125 Crouse Road in Bath from 1-5 pm on Sunday, July 13th. They will give tours of their 250 acre property on one of the highest elevations in the region affording expansive views of the surrounding area.

Visitors can see their model natural buildings composed of straw bales, unmilled timbers, earthen plasters, living roofs, earthen floors, and other natural materials. Built with the help of experts from around the country during the PeaceWeavers' summer Natural Building Colloquiums, these buildings provide significant energy efficiency. One can also view their greenhouses and organic vegetable farm, the only Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program in Steuben County.

Inside their 12,000 square foot Retreat and Wellness Center, visitors can enjoy vegetarian appetizers and drink
