Gerych, Brush, Butler honored by Bath Quota Club

BATH - Bath Quota Club members recently honored Donna Gerych "Quotarian of the Year."

Gerych served as Secretary of the Bath chapter for two years and will serve as vice president this year. She has been elected Secretary/Treasurer to District Governor Elizabeth Anderson. In presenting the award, outgoing President Shirley Smith said, "Donna always pitches in to help when called upon. She truly exemplifies the true meaning of volunteering and Quota as she teaches us the true meaning of sharing."

Norm Brush was presented a plaque recognizing him as Volunteer of the Year.

"Norm continually gives of himself unselfishly and is always ready to participate in anything that is asked of him," said Smith. He always lends a helping hand with a smile and goes way beyond what is expected of him."

Locally, Brush received the Louise Argentieri award for the most volunteer hours in Steuben County in 2003. He has volunteered at the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum for 14 years in the restoration shop. He is a key volunteer at all times. He was also mentioned and photographed for the March 2008 issue of the Smithsonian Air and Space Magazine, featuring the "America Seaplane."

A $1,000 scholarship was awarded to Joshua Butler , a graduating senior at Haverling Central School. He is pursuing his study in computer graphics
