Melissa Overholt, Aaron Corso

Aaron Corso and Melissa Overholt
Debbie and Jerry Overholt have announced the wedding of their daughter, Melissa Overholt, to Aaron Corso.

Melissa is the daughter of Jerry and Debbie Overholt of Prattsburgh. She is a 1998 graduate of Prattsburgh Central School and is now employed as a customer service representative for Empire Telephone.

Aaron is the son of Francis and Sharon Corso of Pulteney. He is a 2000 graduate of Hammondsport Central School and is now employed as a truck driver for Dudley Poultry.

A double ring ceremony was held October 6, 2007 at St. Thomas Church, Bath. Melissa was given in marriage by her father Jerry.

The bride wore a floor-length, strapless ball gown made of slipper satin with a cathedral- length veil work with a train. The bodice and train were adorned with schiffli lace. The bouquet consisted of peach calla lilies and cream roses.

Maid of honor was sister of the bride, Lorraine Overholt and matron of honor was sister of the bride, April Shugars of Prattsburgh. Both women wore two piece gowns of taffeta with the top latte and the bottom mocha with copper sash. Each held peach calla lilies and an array of fall flowers.

Bridesmaids were cousin of the bride, Erica Wallace of Florida, and friend of the bride, Kathy Stanley of Prattsburgh. Jr. bridesmaid was the niece and godchild of the bride, Allyson Long of Prattsburgh.

The bridesmaids wore the same dresses as the maid and matron of honor only with a cream ribbon sash. The Jr. bridesmaid wore a chocolate taffeta gown with a copper ribbon sash. All bridesmaids held a bouquet of fall flowers.

The flower girl, Ryah Bottoni of Prattsburgh, wore a gown similar to the bride's with a crown of fall flowers and baby's breath. She carried a basket of fall leaves down the aisle.

The groom and ushers wore black tuxedos with reversible camouflage vests. Best man was friend of the groom, Josh Farley of Prattsburgh. Ushers were brother of the bride, Scott Overholt of Bath; brother-in-law of the bride, Henry Shugars of Prattsburgh and friend of the groom, Tommy Hand. The ringer bearer was nephew Nate Reeve.

A buffet-style reception was held at the Bath American Legion, Bath. A wedding trip was taken to Disney World, Florida.
