Rosa M. Fiordo

Rosa M. Fiordo, age 99, of 7674 North Main Street, Kanona, died July 16 at Ira Davenport Hospital in Bath.

Rosa was born in Kanona, the daughter of John and Christine (Vicharilo) Minichello. She was active in many organizations over the years, such as, The American Legion Aux., The Knights of Columbus Aux., N.A.R.F.E., and a member of the St. Mary's Parish of Bath. Rosa was an avid bingo player, and she also enjoyed playing cards. She retired in 1969 from the Bath VA, in the Food Services Department.

She is survived by a daughter, Freida Fiordo, of Kanona; grandson, Mark (Nancy) Fiordo, of Bath; granddaughter, Michele (James) Walker, of Haddonfield, New Jersey; five grandchildren, Daniel and Michael Fiordo, of Bath, Allison, Michael and Mark Walker of Haddonfield, New Jersey; one sister Ann Stever, of Bath; several nieces and nephews; and also greatnieces and great nephews.

Rosa was pre-deceased by her husband, Antonio; two sons, Michael and Frederico Fiordo; daughter-in law, Yolanda Mattie Fiordo, of Hornell; three sisters, Mary Bottoni, Marguerite Anioloski, Carmalena Minichello; four brothers, Nicholas, Peter, Frank and Anthony Minichello; three sister-inlaws, Margaret Minichello, Leora Minichello, Betty Minichello; and three brotherin laws, Augustine Bottoni, Frank Anioloski Ernest Stever.

Calling hours were Friday, July 19 from 1-3 p.m., and 6-8 p.m. at Fagan's Funeral Home, 31 West Morris Street, Bath. A Mass of Christian Burial wast St. Mary's Church in Bath, at 10 a.m., Father James Jaeger, celebrant, assisted by Deacon Ray Defendorf. Internment was in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Bath.
