Kelly Clarke LISLE, NEW YORK - Kelly Clarke, age 47, of Lisle, New York went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 12, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 20, 1961 in Bath, and grew up on Keuka Lake in Hammondsport, NY. She is the daughter of Robert and Norma Carpenter of Bath, and Englewood, Florida. Kelly was a devoted mother and friend who cared deeply for her children and who had a passion for life and all that it had to offer. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and antiquing as well as making memories with her family and friends. She had a true zest for life, a quick wit, and a bright smile for anyone who crossed her path. Kelly was an employee of Cornell University for 23 years, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Whitney Point. She is survived by her children, Matthew and Alexandra; brother, Scott (Heather) Carpenter; nephew, Aaron of Clearwater, Florida; grandmother, Esther Gerhart of Bath; uncle, Robert (Delores) Gerhart; former husband, James (Libby) Clarke of Corning; devoted canine, Isabelle; as well many cousins and close friends. Friends were invited to join in a celebration of Kelly's life at the First Baptist Church in Whitney Point, New York at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16. Visiting hours were after the Memorial until 6 p.m. at the church. Interment was private at the convenience of her family in the Pleasant Valley Cemetary in Hammondsport. A trust for Kelly's children is established at M&T bank. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice or to the children's trust. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the ICU and South Tower nurses and staff at Wilson Memorial Hospital for the compassion they bestowed upon family and friends during Kelly's final days. Fagan's Funeral Home in care of arrangements. |
