Michael James Murphy
BATH - Michael James Murphy, age 60, of Geneva Street Bath, died Wednesday, July 9 at the Bath V. A. M. C. He was born in Corning, August 7, 1947 the son of Thomas J. Sr. and Bernice LaFever Murphy. He was a Navy Veteran and was retired from Dietetics at the Bath VA. He was an avid Fisherman and Giants Football Fan. He is survived by his wife ,Wilhamina Glena of Bradford; three sons, Andrew T. Murphy of Canandaigua, Jeffrey T. Murphy of Brockport and Zachary A. Murphy of Bradford; two grandsons, Andrew and Devin; two sisters Margaret (Gary) Swarthout of Elmira and Patricia Murphy of Media, Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews. His parents and his brother Thomas J. Murphy Jr. predeceased him. Friends called on Monday, July 14 from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath. Graveside services with Military Honors followed at 11 a.m. at Bath National Cemetery with Chaplain Linda Leibhart officiating.
