University student receives award

Mansfield University of Pennsylvania held its Nineteenth Annual Student Affairs Outstanding Student Service Awards April 21, 2008 at the North Manser Hall at Mansfield University.

Among the students to receive awards Amber E. Badeau, daughter of Elton and Amy Badeau of Bath, a senior at Mansfield and a student in the nutrition program, has been elected to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges by her professors in recognition of her outstanding merit and accomplishments at Mansfield University.

Amber is actively involved in the student body as a Student Government Senator, Vice President of the Mansfield Activity Council, Activities Coordinator, a member of the Student Dietetic Association and a member of ALPHA SIGMA TAU. She participates in intramural soccer, Fitness and is a cheerleader for the University. Amber has participated in the Relay for Life fundraiser since her freshman year as captain of her team and she participated for four years prior to that in Bath. This young lady is always ready and willing to step up to the plate and help others.
